Pros: The cinematography is absolutely stunning; there are some very high quality shots in this movie that make up for some of its other faults (such as the horrendous dialogue). There are some excellent sets and costume design in this film. The director has done an amazing job at blending the numerous characters together, making them feel like they're all one family. All of the main cast members show their talent in different ways, with every actor having their own strengths. There are plenty of memorable songs that stand out at just the right time, while also providing a good amount of background music to compliment the action that's going on around it or to give it a little more weight or importance to it.Cons: The story is rather flat and predictable. It's not mind-blowing or anything, but rather ordinary in regards to which character is in charge of what mission. The film does feel disjointed at times, with long stretches of time without any action. Some parts are extremely boring. Compared to most movies of the same genre, the bad guys are made out to be evil villains who would love nothing more than to kill our protagonists and take over their lives, except when they're actually kind of helpful in some ways when it comes out that they were just playing a part and just want them to get away.The above paragraph is what I think about the film and could also represent your views on it. The movie is flawed; the storyline fails to drive forward and the villain’s underdeveloped nature makes him look like a forgettable comic relief instead of a baddie who should be behind bars for his crimes. Still, most scenes are well written and scenes like the one with the bike helmet make you forget about its flaws for a while.Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna is set in London, but it fails to embrace the location properly. The bustling city is mostly used as a background with zero effort to make it look like one. The dialogues lack sparks and fail to give life to the characters. Acting is highly uneven; Emraan Hashmi might be great at times, but then again he might appear over-the-top or hammy in some scenes. Preity Zinta looks beautiful, but her performance is disappointing overall.
